What is Pearson Places?
Pearson Places is a gateway to digital learning for teachers and students across Australia and New Zealand. Students and educators can use Pearson Places to access their eBooks, digital resources and assessments.


How do I use Pearson Places?
You can use Pearson Places to access all your digital learning tools. So if you have multiple eBooks, multiple classes, or you’re using a number of different online resources, you can use Pearson Places as a gateway to all of them.


How much does it cost?
Pearson Places itself is completely free of charge. Individual resources like eBooks or Lightbook are purchased separately, but you don’t need to purchase anything to access Pearson Places, or any of the complementary resources on the site.


How do I create a Pearson Places account?

Why are you updating Pearson Places?
We're committed to learning and continuous improvement. So we’re constantly improving and updating our systems and the products we offer to better suit the ever-shifting educational environment.


When is the new site going to be launched?
The new site is due to be launched during 2019.


What do I need to do to prepare?
Nothing. All active accounts will carry across during the update, with the same usernames and passwords. All existing Reader+ eBooks and Lightbooks will carry across too. Just keep an eye on your inbox for updates from us.


Will the new Pearson Places still run on my school IT network?
We’ll be keeping the same URL (pearsonplaces.com.au) so if you have been using Pearson Places, you shouldn’t have any problems. But if you need it, you can click here to download a user-friendly PDF with all system requirements and whitelisting information.


What do I do if I have a problem with the update?
Our friendly teams are dedicated to assisting schools, teachers and students with any issues that may arise along your learning journey. You can live chat with us, send an email or give us a call if you want to discuss any problems or questions once we update Pearson Places next year. We’d love to hear from you.
